Anna E Shelton  -  18-year-old college student and creator

 

Hello! I'm Anna Elyse, I am from Houston TX, and an enthusiastic creator. I am a self-taught artist and have been working with all kinds of mediums from early childhood. I was taught to sew by my crafty mother, at the age of eleven and found a love of creating garments.

I've always struggled with finding clothes that fit my style preferences well as my frame the way I liked. So, I decided instead of searching for a seemingly nonexistent product, I'd make my own! In doing so, I fell in love with the process of creating clothes. I loved it so much that I wanted to share my creations and spread the joy. I want to provide a way for other inspired individuals just like me to find clothes that they loved and fit them in a way they loved just as much!

I wanted to cultivate the imagination and individuality in clothing, modernizing a way for unique pieces to be made available to the unique wearer. All while doing my part to minimize fast fashion in my life and offering the same option to others. All pieces in my shop are original designs but repurposed clothing; most are simply from XXL men's jeans from my local thrift stores. And any non-denim material incorporated into these pieces is salvaged or hand-me-down yardage from relatives.

Each piece is completely original and handmade specifically for the wearer who acquires it.  My mission is to make a way for the wearer of my garments to be most comfortable in clothing that fits them to their personal liking.

My mission is to make and share clothes that look good, allow an individual to feel good, and work harder to be good for the environment. I hope you'll find something you love here!
